Exclusive Use of the distillery

We are the only distillery able to offer you the entire distillery for your event.

Perhaps you would like an exclusive dining experience amongst the stills themselves (for up to 20 guests). You could then retreat to our cosy yet sophisticated Legacy Bar for a dram from our expertly crafted tasting wheel.

Alternatively we have plenty of spaces if you need more room for bigger parties. Our unusually decorated Apothecary is striking and could double up as your own cocktail bar, whilst the Visitor Centre is ideal for dancing,  drinks receptions or champagne and canapes and provides a sleek yet historical backdrop for up to 120 guests.

Cloister Banquet

The Cloister

The Cloister forms one of the most beautiful parts of the Visitor Centre, with its graceful curved roof juxtaposed against the stately 52 foot oak table.

This can sit 60 – 80 guests for banquet-style dining under gentle candlelight, making it ideal for opulent dinner parties or banquets.

The Chapter House

For a less formal gathering or a more intimate meal, the Chapter House can seat up to 40 guests and is brilliant for lively dinners and casual lunches.

The Courtyard

Our pretty courtyard is a great space for ‘street food’ vendors and a truly informal dining space for an evening reception. Beautifully decorated with fire pits, fairy lights and wooden benches.

Outside events

We can also arrange to hold events outside in the Abbey ruins or gardens. We work with a number of fantastic marquee and caterers and will surely be able to make your event dreams come true.

The Legacy Bar

The Legacy Bar

Our cosy yet sophisticated Legacy Bar overlooks the ruins of the Abbey and the Courtyard and is a wonderful space for a drinks reception or meeting.

The Apothecary and Visitor Centre

The unusually decorated Apothecary is striking and could double up as your own cocktail bar, whilst the Visitor Centre is ideal for dancing or drinks receptions with champagne and canapes for up to 120 guests.

The Refectory

For smaller parties, you can also make use of our Refectory, with direct access to the space of the Visitor Centre. We can arrange the space and tables to accommodate your party and can help to arrange catering and decoration as well.

Funeral Teas

Lindores Abbey Distillery can provide you and your loved ones with private use of our Refectory for up to 60 guests, our Legacy bar for up to 30 guests or you can have private use of Lindores House for smaller intimate gatherings.

Funeral teas are served on sharing platters and tiered china and start from £12.50 per head.

A paid bar can be provided on request.

Sample Menus

We always work with our guests to offer a delicious menu that meets everyone’s dietary requirements. These are some examples of the menu selections we can offer:


CANAPES, BUFFETS & bowl food

Canapés –  Parmesan Shortbread with Ricotta & Cured Tomato, Dill Cured Salmon & Crème Fraiche Blini, Pesto & Parmesan Straws, Haggis Bon Bon, Parma Ham Palmier, Crab & Ginger Cake.

Canapé Cones – Mini Lamb Kofta with Hummus & Chilli Jam, Smoked Chicken & Spiced Mango, Crispy Duck & Hoisin Tofu.

Blini Station – Guests can build their own Canapes at out Blini Station. Caviar, Scottish Smoked Salmon and Blinis served with Finely Chopped Shallots, Sour Cream, Chopped Egg & Lemon Wedges, Not forgetting shots of the Finest Russian Vodka

Buffets – Grilled Sea Bass Provencal, Salmon Dartoise, Daube of Venison, Pasta & Pesto Salad, New Potatoes, Wilted Greens, Honey Roast Root Vegetables.

Bowl Food – Cannon of Lamb with Roasted Vegetables, Herb Gnocchi & Rosemary Jus, Green Pea & Asparagus Risotto, Parmesan Shard, Rocket & Basil Oil, Thai Chicken Curry, Coconut Rice & Crispy Wonton, Haddock Goujons, Mushy Peas & Tartare Sauce.


Sit Down Menus with Starters, Main Courses and Puddings

We have Sit Down Menus to suit every budget starting from £30 per head.

Starters – Cullen Skink, Creamy Smoked Haddock & Potato Soup with Snipped Chives, Salmon Gravlax with Shaved Lemon Fennel salad & Horseradish Cream, Chicken Liver Parfait, Roasted Port Wine Plum Mixed Leaf Salad and Brioche, Duck Cassoulet Terrine with Baby Gem, Aubergine Caviar & Provencal Dressing, Pressed Plum Tomato, Basil & Goat’s Cheese Gateaux with Gazpacho Dressing.

Main – Soy and Honey Glazed Duck Breast with Butternut Squash , Pak Choi and Crispy Herbs, Roast Fillet of Seabass, Curried Mussel Bisque, Wilted Greens and Crushed Potatoes, Braised Short Rib of Beef with Braised Onions & Creamed Parsnip, Carved Rump of Lamb with Hasselback Potato, Roasted Baby Roots, Crispy Garlic Pan Roasted Chicken Breast Wrapped in Pancetta with Green Beans & Smoked Bacon Cream.

Pudding – Vanilla Yoghurt Mousse with Berries & Lemon Madeleine, Dark Chocolate Marquise with Passion Fruit Chantilly Cream & Mango Salsa, Baileys & Hazelnut Cheesecake with Candied Kumquat and Minted Orange Salad, Glazed Lemon Tart, Cranachan Cream & Raspberry Sorbet, Selection of Three Scottish Farmhouse Cheeses with Chutney & Oatcakes.
