Lindores Abbey Distillery
After a break of 523 years, spirit is once again flowing from the copper stills at Lindores Abbey Distillery.
With Lindores Abbey’s widely recognised links to the earliest written reference to Scotch Whisky and learning as much as we can from the great Scottish distillers around us, past and present, we are bringing a very modern whisky-making approach to this ancient site.
Visiting Lindores Abbey Distillery
Summer Opening Hours: March – October. Open 7 days a week, 10am – 4pm | Distillery Tours are available at 10am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm.
Winter Opening Hours: November – February. Open Wednesday-Sunday (Closed Monday & Tuesday) | Distillery Tours are available at 10am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm. CLOSED: Wednesday 25th December to Thursday 2nd January 2025
To avoid disappointment we recommend you book in advance using our online booking system.
Refreshments are available if pre-booked.
PRIVATE EVENTS, PRIVATE TOURS AND TASTINGS CAN ALL BE ARRANGED BY APPOINTMENT ON ANY DAY
Cask Ownership
Our Cask Ownership experience is a unique chance to become an integral part of Lindores Abbey Distillery’s journey, as well an opportunity to mark a special occasion or to add to your own collection.
Ultimately, owners of Private Casks will have their own unique bottling of Lindores Single Malt Whisky, which can be personalised with your name, company logo, family crest etc.
