Learning all about the processes and history of whisky making on one of our Distillery or Apothecary Tours at Lindores Abbey Distillery, after a break of 523 years. Find out what goes into producing whisky, and once you’ve learned the ins and outs of distilling, you’ll be able to try two delicious drams for yourself!
Between Friday 25th May to Tue 12th June the Distillery is having a small silent season and limited spirit production – all others areas of Lindores will be open and functioning as per normal, apart from Friday 1st June when the distillery is closed for a private event.FIND OUT ABOUT OUR TOURS

Our whisky and champagne afternoon teas are served in the atmospheric surroundings of the Legacy Bar, with its glorious views of Lindores Abbey and the river Tay beyond.Find out more
At our Refectory cafe, we serve a small menu of lights lunches and refreshments, including homemade soups and freshly baked cakes and scones as well as the award winning hand-crafted Mr C’s pies. Everything is made from locally sourced fresh produce and we always try to accommodate anyone’s individual dietary requirements.

The Legacy Bar
Leave all your worries behind and retreat to our cosy yet sophisticated Legacy Bar for a dram from our expertly crafted tasting wheel. Overlooking the ruins of the Abbey and the Courtyard, the Legacy Bar is a lovely space to while away the evening with friends.
We exclusively hire out the Legacy Bar for private or corporate events, so get in touch with the Events Team if you would like to know more.
We try to ensure that all our visitors have a safe and enjoyable visit regardless of their access requirements. Registered assistance dogs are very welcome on site, as are any four legged friends, and we have water bowls outside for them. Disabled parking is available 5 metres from our entrance. The Apothecary , Visitor Centre and Refectory café are all on one level with disabled toilets. We have a lift available to the second floor and Legacy Bar.
