Our Brand Ambassadors Andrew Lennie and Murray Stevenson were recently out and about in Aberdeen meeting with, and running training sessions with the bartenders and mixologists of the city. They had such a great time that they wanted to reward the attendees of the training sessions with the chance to get creative with our spirit, and so the Lindores Cocktail Competition was launched

Lindores Cocktail Competition
The competition brief was simple: The bartenders had to demonstrate how they enjoyed the sample of Aqua Vitae they received at the training session. It could be a cocktail, a dessert, a food pairing… anything!
The Prize
The winner would receive 1 of 500 bottles of our limited Aqua Vitae release Thabill and have their cocktail featured on the next menu in the Legacy Bar at Lindores Abbey Distillery.
Competition entries
Over the last few weeks we received entries from many bars across Aberdeen and some really interesting serves were brought to the table from Beer cocktails to hot cocktails. Thanks to everyone who sent an entry.
We recreated each serve in our Legacy Bar, here at the distillery and the winner was chosen, after much deliberation, by Drew and Helen. The winning cocktail combined our Aqua Vitae with tropical fruit flavours which we thought was complex, yet well balanced and really delicious.
The Winner
We are delighted to announce that the winning cocktail entry was the ‘Water Of Life’ from Paolina Mancheva at Dusk in Aberdeen. We absolutely loved the addition of the tropical fruit flavours which we always think work well with our Aqua Vitae. Paolina’s delicious cocktail is now available on the summer menu in Dusk as well as the menu at the Distillery and the bottle of Thabill is on the way to Paolina!
