On Day 1 of our archaeological dig, we have unearthed an 80ft stretch of hitherto undiscovered Abbey wall, which has been hidden for over 500 years.
We hope to be able to tidy this up and leave it exposed for visitors to enjoy.
With Lindores Abbey’s widely recognised links to the earliest written reference to Scotch Whisky and learning as much as we can from the great Scottish distillers around us, past and present, we are bringing a very modern whisky-making approach to this ancient site.
