We offer five different options of dining area for a variety of events. The Cloisters form one of the most beautiful parts of the Visitor Centre with its graceful curved roof juxtaposed against the stately 52 foot oak table. This can sit 60 guests for banquet style dining under gentle candlelight making it ideal for opulent dinner parties. For a less formal gathering or a more intimate meal the Chapter House can seat up to 40 guests and our rustic barn has been tried and tested by friends and family alike for lively dinners and casual lunches.
We know that a lot of the best parties don’t involve much sitting down so we have two spaces ideal for dancing. Our unusually decorated Apothecary with its striking chequered floor could double as your very own unique nightclub whilst those looking for a truly Scottish experience may prefer the Chapter House which is built for ceilidhs! We also have the option of using our Visitor Centre for drinks receptions, there is no better setting for champagne and canapés than this sleek yet historical backdrop.
We can arrange for all catering styles, from the extremely formal to the charmingly informal. And although there is no accommodation at the Distillery itself, we are lucky to be situated within 10 minutes’ drive of two beautiful castles, both of which provide extremely luxurious accommodation for exclusive-use groups. We can arrange accommodation if required.
On those rare summer days we are keen to put our beautiful and unique grounds to good use. We offer the use of our abbey ruins for rustic picnics or sophisticated lunch alfresco. Even in the case of showers or just a particularly chilly evening, we have you covered, our canvas tent can be accompanied by a log fuelled stove to ensure the enjoyment of your dram is tainted by frostbite.
Exclusive Distillery Events
If you are searching for something completely different to truly wow your guests then we have the perfect setting for your event. We are the only distillery to offer a dining experience amongst the stills themselves for up to 20 guests. You could then retreat to our cosy yet sophisticated bar for a dram from our expertly crafted tasting wheel. We would also be happy to invite you into our home for a drinks reception in our drawing room, dinner for up to 14 and a tasting led by Mr McKenzie Smith himself!
WHISKY AND CHAMPAGNE AFTERNOON TEAS
We are now taking bookings for our whisky and champagne afternoon teas. Served in the atmospheric surroundings of the Legacy Room with its glorious views of Lindores Abbey and the river Tay beyond, these delicious treats will include finger sandwiches, savoury pastries, scones with cream and jam, delicate small cakes and a choice of fragrant teas. A crisp chilled glass of champagne or a generous dram accompanies this feast, topped off by a stroll around the historic abbey ruins to help to walk off the calories!
The Lindores teas will be served between 3.00pm and 5.00pm and are available daily from Saturday 22nd July at a cost of £25.00 per person and booking is essential as spaces are limited. Please contact Julie on 01337 842 547 or [email protected] to book or to purchase a gift voucher.
